A little background info

Racing 3 rolex... where did that come from? Weird title for the blog.... Well maybe, I had a few ideas but this came out winner. I won't bore you with the ones I discarded.

In a nutshell this year my big challenge has been doing all 3 major Rolex offshore races in one year. Starting with the Rolex Fastnet Campaign in the UK, then the Rolex Middle Sea in Malta and finally the last but by no means least, the Rolex Sydney to Hobart race which will be completed on a TP52 (or super fast race yacht for those who don't know what that is!). My first time on a yacht like that, so a teeny weeny bit nervous for that one.

I also like the lyrics from Wiley's "Wearing my Rolex" - usually drink, usually dance, usually bubble..... (Bubble as in cockney rhyming slang, bubble bath = laugh!) and I feel that it's quite apt to describe me really!!

Throw them together and voila... Racing 3 Rolex, although I'd love to wear a Rolex I'm not sure I will ever win the races overall, and seeing as I spend all my money on races and enjoying life I probably unlikely to own one ... Oh well, I will just have to settle for competing in Rolex races and having fun instead!

So, when did this particular adventure start well it seems a while ago now but it was the 1st June 2015 the day after my last contract ended. I've been yacht racing since 2008 though, so this is my 7 year anniversary and in some ways I'm repeating some of what happened that first year, and more!! And finally, what's my itinerary? Well as you can see it's a pretty full and fun packed 8 months.....

18 Sept - Rugby World Cup opener, Twichenham England vs. Fiji
